Let's Start Tying it Up
I love all things tactile. I am drawn to textures, surfaces, gloss, shine...anything that has a feel to it. Natural fibers are my favorite....cotton, jute, silk, and wool to be more specific. I thought these were creative ways to bring some texture into a beach house without going overboard {yeah, I said it}.
For other beach house ideas, go here.
You will not believe how this one started out. The rope is custom colored...brilliant, I think.
Would you add some rope to your home?

Hmmmm food for thought. I love the texture of it and these rooms are gorgeous - sophisticated with a touch of rustic rope. Kind of like baskets and wicker, another textural element.

I just an image this morning that a designer used rope for the stairwell. Looked cool! It's the lake house featured today on AD.
