Blue and White Bash
It's Blue and White Bash Day, over at The Pink Pagoda. If you are not familiar with it, you can link up anything blue and white.
Really....anything...Fashion....Decor...Food (that might be weird) ...Travel.
I'm going to share a previous post that I think is perfect for this. Hope to see you there.
One Room Challenge Linking Event, Round 2...Week 5
Well this is it, the last week before we can all relax and be proud of our accomplishments. If you attempted this challenge, consider yourself a winner. It isn't easy, but hopefully you have enjoyed the process.
Please Remember to put a link back so everyone can be supported in their efforts.
Now give it one last push to the finish line, you can do this.
One Room Challenge, Week 5
Welcome back to week five of the One Room Challenge. I am transforming my mudroom into a functional and pretty space in six weeks. If you are new here, thanks for coming by. You can start at the beginning, here.
This was a crazy and wild week. My kids had Spring Break....yes, we are late. Spoiler alert, our school year ends the last week in June....late, again. Anyway, we took a trip down to Florida to do a little house hunting, school shopping, and R&R. I don't do R&R well will this much on my plate.
A quick glance at our trip
The Hyatt @ Bonita Springs has two Newfoundland dogs that visit with the guests.
Unfortunately, we did not find a house that we fell in love with. I did enjoy the warm weather.
Yesterday, it was 47 degrees in New Jersey. Seriously? Even the guy at Home Depot said, "enough already".
I came home to an email from Jennifer letting me know that her prints were in the mail! She sent this sneak peak.
It reminds me of the amazing fabric she designed for me. These prints are not for sale in her store. Hopefully, they will be....very soon.
Did I show you my bench? I found it in a flea market in London, fifteen years ago. Supposedly, it was a former Church bench...you know how people can exaggerate. I just like it.
Not much more to report this week, just waiting impatiently for my deliveries...and then the stress of photographing begins.
Let's go visit the others and see their rooms.
One Room Challenge Linking Event, Round 2...Week 4
Here we are at the fourth week of the One Room Challenge Linking Event. If you are feeling stressed and a bit concerned....know that you are not alone. Week four can be challenging.
I hope you are enjoying the process and having fun along the way. Now let's go look at some of the amazing projects linking up.
One Room Challenge, Week 4
This is week four of the One Room Challenge where I am transforming my mudroom into a functionally pretty space. You can start at the beginning, here. I say it all the time....week four is the toughest. It is the moment of truth for being realistic with what can actually get accomplished over the next two remaining weeks.
I am feeling slightly optimistic with my mudroom, although UPS is going to play a major role in the ultimate outcome...so I won't be popping the champagne cork just yet, as Beth might say.
This week was all about coordinating the art for my space. Minted has generously provided me with a limited edition art print. My wall space is small, and I have additional pieces that I needed to consider when shopping the Minted site. Here are some of my favorites.
| Lights on the Lake / Peonies in Vase / Peach Blossoms / Scribbles in Blue |
All of the prints have a framing option so it's fun to click on the various colors to see how the frame changes the feel of the piece. In this room, I am sticking to black frames. In addition, some prints come in several colors.
| Variegated Plant by Faye Femister |
Taking all of my needs into consideration, I ended up with a square print, framed in black, that would compliment all of the other elements in the room.
I have tall ceiling envy in an eight foot high ceiling space. One of the ways I like to create the feeling of taller ceilings is by hanging the art above my wall treatment.
I can't wait to see what Jennifer has created for these frames. Now let's go see how the rest of the group is doing.
