Tangerine........ Roses!

If you are a gardener, right about now, you are probably getting inundated with mail order plant catalogs. I am, and I love it. I get great ideas from those images and when it is winter, I am also reminded that spring will be here soon. I could use a few new rose....ground-cover, bushes, or topiary...I don't care. Well, this got me to thinking, will Tangerine Tango (you know what that is) work its' way into our gardens?

Here are some lovely tangerine roses

For a very long time, I have had a garden "policy" of "no reds, no yellows". I prefer the cool shades...purples, blues and whites. My ultimate dream is to have an all white garden, but I already know that I don't have that discipline for that. Over the last few years, I have broken down and let yellow into my garden. I am still holding strong on "no red". It is just too commanding for me.......but what about tangerine? Will you try tangerine in your home or garden?

Funny that my color rules are the opposite--no blues or purple. I love pink roses but a few of those orange varieties are very pretty.

You really do dislike red, don't you;) I think the tengerine roses are beautiful, but my house is kind of an orangey brick. I don't know if I'd want to carry it into the garden (as if I had one) as well. But, never say never.

I didn't know red bothered me so much, until I read your blog post. It's blog color therapy. Thank you for getting me in touch with my inner crayon box.

I'm the same way with garden colour. Only purples, blues, whites and pinks here. Mostly because our backyard is in full sun almost all day and it doesn't need to be "heated up" any more by all of those fiery colours!
BUT...I love them. I would love to have a rose bush that's orangey with a bit of yellow....so pretty. I won't, but I'd love to ;)

I have to say I am a white, pink, purple, blue gardener as well... for the most part. Even though the orange is fun in a vase I wouldn't be able to commit to a patch of that color all season long!! I think I have a love/hate thing with the color orange. :)

I love the brights. Yellow Orange Red and Hot Pink with lots of Dark Green Plants. Having a garden and liking it was the biggest surprise for me moving from a condo to a real house. I'll have some bright coloured Tulips coming up in a few weeks, maybe I should get a rose bush this summer, those tangerine roses are sooo beautiful.

Gorgeous flower arrangements. I used to love white roses but as I got older, I love the pinkish orange roses, I thought they are so beautiful and very sweet. Red roses are not my thing, too! :)

What about keeping it all white and kind of making a border with the yellows and reds?

I've never been big on gardening because I don't know what I'm doing. I was lucky enough that the previous owner of my house did, so now all I have to do is maintain it. When I gain some confidence I'd love to add more whites. I love the cooler, paler shades too.

I absolutely love these orange roses. You must have known they were my favorite color. Love the first flower arrangement, though I wouldn't mind getting any of them delivered to my door. That's right. florists like getting beautiful flowers too!

It really helps the inside/outside flow of the house to have flower color work with both your exterior house color and also the interior colors you use. Because of that, I always use whites, pinks and reds. The photos are beautiful!
