Here We Go, Again.

Some of you may have heard, the East Coast is getting a BLIZZARD. So many of my neighbors are still trying to deal with the recovery from Sandy.

I wish it was this kind

Not his kind

I texted snowplow Jim to make sure he still has me on his list. We get plowed out on anything over 6". Three of us don't mind shoveling when it's less than that. The teen daughter "doesn't shovel".

I told Jim I was getting older, and he should make an addendum to my request.

Start plowing at 4"....please!

The news is predicting power outages and property damage. I may regret not taking my husband's request for a generator more seriously. Just for the record, it was not possible to get one before spring...I think?

Stay safe everyone.

Snowplow Jim better be at the ready. Thinking of you eating Blizzards rather than living through one...

I thank Jeebus every winter that our neighborhood HOA includes shoveling (all the way to the front door).

Here in Denver we could use what you're getting. The mountain snowpack is 72% below normal at the moment which means bigtime drought come summer.

Yup 4" is good, especially given that the teen daughter doesn't shovel! Doesn't she know what good exercise shoveling is? Don't feel bad, my teen daughter doesn't shovel either and presently she doesn't have to because she is enjoying the sunshine and warm temps of Easter Island!!!
Stay safe and warm....

I hope you guys do well down there, I don't mind shoveling if it's not wet and heavy but the last storm I crashed into my car with the snow blower. They are predicting a lot for up here though I've only seen about 6 flakes today so far.

Wow, do they have thin mint blizzards? I can't actually eat anything from DQ but I could make my own. I made thin mints a few weeks ago and it was surprisingly easy.

We've got the generator and snow blower all ready in our garage, firewood stacked in the family room, and lots of food to hunker down with! It's already starting here. Hope some of it blows out into the Atlantic for both of us!

Keep me informed!

Keeping my fingers crossed for you that you don't lose power. That's the worst. We don't see too many blizzards down south (except the DQ variety, ha - love your photo!) but I think the novelty would wear off quickly. Be safe!

Stay warm! Hopefully the power stays on! I probably shouldn't mention that it's short-sleeve and flip flop weather in AZ right now, huh? =)

Let's home the winds don't get too crazy or we will all lose power again. We had no power for 12 days with Sandy. Luckily we do have a generator. Right now it is snowing in New Jersey but it is mixing with rain. I think we are supposed to get 12-14 inches tonight. Good luck and stay warm!

I'm thinking of you and keeping my fingers crossed that your power stays on and you can just cuddle in a nice warm house for a few days. Keep me posted as I don't trust that Al Roker any further than I can throw him.

Wish we had the moisture here in drought stricken Kansas. I'm 63 and lucky enough to have a recently retired fireman for a neighbor who snow blows our drive and several others on our block. He thinks it is fun. We pay him in baked goods and homemade food. He thinks he's the lucky one!

Stay safe, warm and good luck with that don't shovel teen. Hope she lives south of the Mason-Dixon when she grow up!
