Nantucket Style.....Art
I am continuing my 31 days of Nantucket Style. If you would like to start at the beginning, go here.
When I think of artwork, I often think of my surroundings. The obvious choice for a beach house would be nautical artwork. Nautical artwork can get really tacky. I remember Nate Berkus saying to someone, "You don't have to have an Eiffel Tower statue for us to know that you love Paris".
I love Etsy, and thought that would be the perfect way to shop for tasteful beach house art.
This is a Mid Century Modern painting from 1970

Love the first one & the mid century one. Loving this series!
I love the first one and any of the more abstract ones. I have a similar one in my bedroom and it really does make me feel more serene, like I am right there on the beach.
Lovely! I like the deep blue abstract by Sarah Lapp. It is in the colors I love right now. When are we going to Nantucket? Never been there, but sure looks like fun!

I would gladly hang them all and you are spot on with the beautiful art! I am particularly drawn to the Kristi Taylor piece!! xo
I like the blue abstract by Sarah Lapp as well.
I love the first one. Etsy really is the best!
The second one and the last one. But lets be real, I'd take any of them!
Oooh, I loved each one better than the last ~ but by the time I got to the end I couldn't even choose! Beautiful pieces!
We are in the midst of redoing an 1800's beach house and looking for art. Love your picks and can't wait to visit their sites. Thanks for the introduction to new Etsy artists!!
these are great. I love the colors and composition of the last one
The first one and the tall one with the cobalt and azure colors are my favorites. So inspiring and one immediately feels relaxed with any of these. Thanks for the inspiration, Linda!
I like the mid-century one but the seascape (2nd to last) is awesome.
Love the abstracts especially.
I love Etsy too, you can almost hear the ocean. Great picks.
Love all of these! My favorites are either #3 or #8. Great Nate Berkus quote. :)
I am loving that seascape washart painting!
My favorite is the Linda Monfort!
