Going Green
I have been dreaming about a green sofa for so long. Then, like so many other things, I see something else that catches my eye. So, I start dreaming about that......and so one, and so on.

I think I am back to green. What are you indecisive about?

I'd take a velvet sofa in just about any color. I am unable to commit to a paint color in my two- story entry and two-story family room. I think its because if the color is wrong it is no easy thing to repaint.
EVERYTHING!
I love green velvet!
These are beautiful images! The closest to green I have used is teal paint and accessories. The apple green color is gorgeous and the velvet is so perfect. For 30 years Ive had a white sofa and love to switch out the room around it. Have a great day!

Ohhhhh....that first green velvet sofa is delicious!~ My neighbor is an accomplished seamstress and has offered to make me kitchen window treatments. For almost a year, I have struggled with different fabrics taped around my kitchen trying to make a decision... (it seems so permanent! what if I get the colors wrong? Neighbor wants lots of coordinating fabrics and I'm pretty simple, what if I don't like it? I can't take them down--she'll see!) CRAZY SELF-TALK!!
One of my favorite accent colors! It looks wonderful with the Swedish color palette. And green is so organic, too! Have a great week, Linda.
Cheers,
Loi
Loving this green ... and it is timeless!!! I waiver on everything of my own. But this is a Fall of Commitment. I have bitten off several projects and they are in motion ... no turning back!! I hope!! xo
love the green...go for it. Especially if its in a yummy velvet....mmhhh Gosh, I'm indecisive about so many things. I have my powder room in a turquoise color, but now I think its too bright and would love to do some stenciling or something with a darker color to tone it down....but I'm unsure what color to pair it up with....goodness!
oooh apple green velvet...fave...I am currently indesisive about the fabric for my black lacquer ottomans....
Green vlevet is oh so luxurious!!! I can't blame you for dremain' Linda, currently I am indecisive about wether or not I should get a new sofa - Aside from job changes, my current sofa was a gift from my mom so, I've benn flip floppn' between getting a new one or leaving it alone! :=)Good luck with your dilemma though!
I tend to stay with neutrals for the large upholstered pieces that I will live with for years, and go for the fun colors for accents. I had my sofa, the famous 1968 Henredon first upholstered in a green damask, it's now in a very durable white spot free cotton! I can change as the trends do!
Ha! What am I not indecisive about?!?! I can always tell it's something I want when I always end up back where I started. Go for it!
Green is so refreshing. You can't go wrong with it. I can't decide about where to go in my entrance hall.
Misleading sorry -- where to go as in what direction to take!
Too funny, Pink Pagoda! I can't decide on fabric for my dining room chairs...neutral or color...wishy washy about everything for my own home!
Green olives in my Tini's & green velvet on your sofa is def my idea of going green. These are all fab! Go Green or go home! Just do it.... What harm could it do??? seriously. You hate it; sell it. My motto for all furniture. It's like hair... you cut it & hate it; it grows back.... no real worry.
What am not indecisive about? I never considered a green sofa but those are lovely!
Oh my gosh! You are going to do a green velvet sofa! You must, you must! I love it and love your blog! I am so happy I know Jennifer:-) Best, Kathleen
I am about to choose the colors for my new place and what i really cant understand is why i never considered green?? thanks for the inspiration!! i love it!
love K
I have been a fan of green velvet sofa for the longest time, too! I thought they are so gorgeous but unfortunately velvet sofas especially in a non neutral color like green tend to be quite expensive. I wish we can get one in the future.
If you like it, then go for it. You will never go wrong with green, it's such a beautiful color!
