Organize Your Garden Stuff....Part Two
Yesterday, I told you how Lowe's challenged me (and sponsored me) to organize something. You may remember that I cleaned my tools before I organized them. If you are wondering how I decided to tidy up the inside of my shed....here is a clue.
This might be a good time to tell you that the disorganization is what lead to my bypass pruners obsession....but aren't they clean?
Now you need to see how I got here...It all started like this.
This is not staged....wait, it gets better
You know it would look so much cleaner if we didn't keep those golf clubs....just sayin.
On the other side, you ask
Do bikes and crutches go together?
Here is the best part, until this challenge...I didn't think it was that bad, well....compared to my garage.
Starting with this wall, I added two studs
A friend of mine used to say that the stud finder would go off every time he walked by it.
A trip to Lowe's for some pegboard cut to size (thank you Lowe's man who obsesses over measurements more than I).
Install the pegboard
Go ahead....add some trim around it....it's a girl's shed!
Recognize the trim? You know how I like to use door casing.
Next, I added these full length shelves
Now this side looks like this
Can you see the bucket of oily sand?
What about the other side? I'm so glad you asked. Using this system...I hung the bikes and the golf clubs.
Yes, that would be a 10-speed bike. It's vintage, and so is the man who doesn't rides it.
Other tools
I fell in love, that sounds a bit weird...with these hooks!
As you can see, I have room for more tools...yeah.
Let's review....I went from this
To this
Now let's play a game....what is this?

Wow, now you have room for so much more stuff! Great organization Linda, and I love those giant hooks! Our shed is stuffed to the max..this is inspiring, but it's my husband that needs to read this--it's HIS shed, so I'll pass it on. I was thinking that tool might be an water tight extension cord keeper???

You're my hero! How OCD am I that I am feeling calmer already looking at all that organization? So stylish too...SIGH! P.S. Have NO IDEA what that tool is??
Ok, so when I get a house with a garage, I'm flying you in to get it organized! Good job lady! Now what's the plan to keep it organized, which is the really hard part no?
I love it. My husband refuses to put our tools on a pegboard...ugh!
LOOKING GREAT linda! thats more organized than my KITCHEN
It looks great! You make me want to run out to my garage and start organizing, and believe me, it needs it.
Is the tool a paint roller cover?
I'm FORWARDING this entire Post to MC....He needs help!
Fantastic work! And I LOVE the comment about the bike/husband. So Funny! I didn't know that Lowes had all the organizational items.
Yay! I was waiting for this. Amazing job Linda, as usual you nailed it (and trimmed it out and organized it) Bravo my friend! Ha 10 speed.
It looks great! I love organizing! It makes your life much easier.
Good job.
Is that some sort of pruner/cutter? I make that same argument about the golf clubs in my garage as well. Damn things take up too much room.
Looking good! I need that bike rack for my kids bikes. The tool? Is it some kind of berry picker?
your BEFORE shots remind me of our garage now - only worse! kudos to you for a great job organizing everything! love the peg board and trim!!!!!
Love the trim around the pegboard. I love to organize things, I just can't maintain them though. It looks amazing.
I don't know about the tool, but you've confirmed my faith in the power of hooks! Nice work!!!!
This gets me so excited...need to reorganize my garage and I already have the pegboard. Thanks for the inspiration!
OMG!!!! I'm so impressed! You did such an amazing job. Congrats! You rocked that shed all the way to beautiful!
Hey Linda - You should have your own tv show :) Very nice!! And so organized. Speaking of organizing, I'd love for you to organize another ORC for fall. Following all those rooms was so much fun....and educational.
cheers,
Loi
What's that little metal tete-a-tete garden bench? Looks fabulous.

I love that you trimmed out the peg board. My kind of gal! Looks great.
Wow, what a great way to organize!
Looks fabulous...i can't wait to own a house so I can invest in all these garage/shed organizers.
Seriously I LOVE that you put trim around your pegboard- that is the best part of this whole project for me by far!
I would show this to my husband although I would probably be the one to undertake this if I had the time - tools, three golf bags, 4 bikes and more need organizing in our garage. I am very impressed, Linda! I feel motivated :)
