Chinoiserie Chic is in the House...Guest Post

OK, pinch me....ending my week off from blogging is my friend Beth from
In my first post of the One Room Challenge, I showed Chinoiserie
kitchens (and they are few and far between) that would serve as
inspiration in creating my own Chinoiserie Chic kitchen. I thought you
might enjoy seeing the rooms that inspired me and how I interpreted
them in my space.

This project was much fun to watch unfold. It kinda' exhausted me seeing all of that work in action. I've come to think that Beth's kitchen it way too beautiful to cook in and she should tell Mr. CC, "You would not expect me to cook in the living room, would you? Take out (Chinese, of course!), it will be!"

I think putting your heart into a room, going with what makes you happy, living with things that inspire, inform and just make you smile, is a wonderful thing.

Beth, your kitchen is amazing! I want to come visit and have a cup of coffee and soak up the Chinoiserie gorgeousness in person. I also want you to come to Dallas and organize my house for me!

love you kitchen beth! I love chinoiserie too, but I guess, being Asian, my parents sort of overwhelmed our home with it at some point that now I only want small doses of it! LOL!

I love how you incorporated this pattern into your home without making people look at it and think "China" all the time. Great job!

The barstools are Cherner stools, original design by Norman Cherner. Here's a link to the Cherner Chair Company for you...
