What Do You Call Him/Her?

We are on our way home from Florida. In fact, by the time you read this...we will be back in New Jersey. Shortly, I will post some pictures from Legoland. For now, I am missing my dog. I have posted about him before. He is my third child. We all love him...but I like to think that I am his favorite. I feed him, and he remembers that.

I have about 4 different names for him. None of them are his actual name. Shmooboo, Doodoo, Shoeshoe, Coocoo. They all sound roughly the same...and he comes when I call. I can't be alone in this.....so, what do you call your pet?

Cougie-woo, Mr. Otis, Fattyfat and my daughter calls him a little chodie. That last one makes my inner 10 year old giggle.

I usually call my dog Bear because he has the mannerisms of a bear, but his real name is Ringo. I also call him Puffin - calling him Puppy or Muffin turned into Puffin.

That dog in the last pic is living large in that fab dog bed/low couch!!

I call our dog Pooch McGooch most of the time. Sometimes that becomes Goochie or Scmoochie. Ha ha. Neither are even close to his real name!

Welcome Home! I have to weigh on this one too. Trouble and Bubba have morphed into Bubble over the years. He's my Bubble, and if he escapes from his kennel (which happens occasionally and we can't explain how) and destroys anything in the house his name is jerkface. Not terribly original but he gets the picture.

Hi Linda! Just found your blog through Mix and Chic! I was the one of the 11 that was tagged! Well, my dog is a Maltese and I call her Silky because her hair is soft like silk!

Does he look guilty after he does stuff? Buster, my dog's real name, always puts himself in "timeout" after he does bad stuff.

Oh I LOVE this post idea. My cat is named Maggie and we have a whole slew of nicknames for her: Ms Magglesworth, Magatron, Orange Cat, Magalicious, Marmalade, and my favorite... Maggot :P

I call my Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Mr. Darcy, after the hero in Pride and Prejudice. However, because he is so calm, my husband calls him Darvon. Our Jack Russell Terrier is named Buddy. Because he is so smart, I often call him Budweiser.

I have 2 cats - Blanche and Leanne.

Blanche is called Destructo-Cat, her whiteness, and self-destructo cat, and Hey You!!! when I catch her at it.

Leanne, is called primarily Leanne or Gorgeous Girl.

Blanche is an 11mo deaf White shorthair who is courageous, fearless and full of too much curiousity.

Leanne is 12 yrs and a long hair tortoise-shell who still doesn't understand what got into me to get Blanche, and loves to cuddle more than anything else in the world.

I hope you get back to your dog soon - it's horrible to be missing our fur-kids.

Ohhh, what a sweetheart Linda. My dogs are definitely my kids. We have Tyler - Big T, TT, Ty, the Beast, T-poo, TyTy.

We've only had Emma since Thanksgiving and she already has a bunch of nicknames - Em, Emsie, Lou, Lulu, Louie, Eminator, Emmer.

Welcome back to NJ!

Oh yeah, he knows and he dutifully hangs his head in shame without a single word:) How can you be mad at that?
