Oh I love me the architecture of a good pergola... I've never had one myself, but hopefully someday!
I LOVE pergola's. Our yard is pretty microscopic though so not sure if we could fit one. Maybe in the year 2020 when the house is done we can start looking to find a place for one.
We have built our own pergolas and pergolas for friends...actually we are a bit pergola crazy at our house! I look at the Walpole catalog and copy their designs at an 1/16th of the price. The guys at Home Depot have marveled over the years at my attempts at loading as many pieces of lumber into my SUV as possible...I hate making multiple trips! :) Pergola Onward my friend!

Pergola over the garage is a lovely way to improve the look of the dreary garage door. They look lovely with vines or flowers wrapped around them!

Pergola adds style over the garage. I love the pergola at the last photo because it combines the colors of the tulips in the garden.
Yes, it’s easy to love pergolas, no matter where you place them! Mounting it over the garage is really nice, especially if you’re garage isn’t attached to the house structure. I think it can serve as a unifying device. ;) -->Cathy
