A New Year

It's 2012! I am excited for the unknown.....how will the year unfold? I am not going to give you a long list of things I want to accomplish or achieve this year. I don't believe in resolutions. Instead, I want to go forward with an intention. Knowing that nothing feels better than a job well done; my intention is to focus on the task at hand. Giving it my best energy at that moment.

These quotes (via pinterest) are my intentions for the New Year

Do you have a favorite quote? What inspires you to do your best?

  1. I could have written this post - love all the quotes you mention. I don't make New Year's resolutions either, but am inspired by different thoughts/ideas throughout the year. One quote I like is, "Beginnings are usually scary, and endings are usually sad. It's everything in-between that makes it all worth living."
I find the older I get, the more comfortable I am with this idea...with the concept of enjoying the moment and recognizing that the life I have is the one I created - so have be happy or change something!!!
I'm excited about this year too :)

  2. Hi,
I'm new to your blog. I noticed you joined mine and was thrilled. I was looking around at your blog and noticed the tutorial on upholstering. So excited to try this as professional upholstering is so freakin' expensive. Happy New Year!

  3. These are wonderful quotes and great reminders...happy Monday!!

  4. love Steve Jobs quote! Happy New Year! It's going to be a great one!

  5. I love this post! And living in the moment is something I need to work on!
But I'm with you on the resolutions. That never works for me! I hope you have a wonderful New Year!

  6. Happy New Year! Among my favorite quotes that I try to remember every year..."Go Big or Go Home"..."If you have your health you have everything"...."To thine own self be true"...

Thank you for visiting my blog. I would love to know your thoughts!
