New {to Me} Blogs

A while back, I told you how I was on the hunt to meet some new {to me} bloggers.

I visited a TON of blogs in the process.

I left comments all over the universe....when I could get passed word verification.  At times, it was really fun.  Sometimes, it was really frustrating.

Many of the blogs I stumbled upon had not posted in a while. Lots of the new {to me} bloggers have decided to quit blogging since I met them....was it something I said?

Here are some of the blogs I found... I really like them!

Fletcher from High Cotton Style

Mrs V from Chez V

Jeanine from I Heart Interiors

Jen from City Farmhouse

Elizabeth from Thoughts & Figures

I could tell you about them, but I thought it would be more fun for you to discover them like I did...by clicking through.
Check them out...and tell them My Crafty Home Life sent you :)

Air Plants

Have you noticed all of the fun creative things that people are doing with Tillandsias (aka Air Plants)?

They grow without soil and need very little watering...once a week, I think.

Because they will grow on almost anything anywhere...I find myself fascinated by the endless possibilities.

I'll Probably Regret This

....but I hope not.

Do any of you remember seeing this fabulous console table that Chinoiserie Chic posted about? I have been stalking Craigslist for anything that would resemble it.

This is what I found

I know!!! Crazy good, yes?

Well, after walking all over my home....I just can't find a spot for it. Trust me, I really tried. I think my husband is secretly happy...but he is acting all, "Oh, are you sure? I know you really liked it?" I can just hear his smirking in his text.

Somebody, please go grab this...fix it up...and come back and tell me all about it!! I will be so jealous happy for you.

It could look like this

In a room, you would never leave

I'm a little bummed about it...but I know that the Craigslist fairy will bring me something good real soon. Now I'm off to track down some more stuff that I don't need and can't live without.

I'm an Architect

George Costanza and I have the same dream....to be an architect. I have no interest in going back to school, nor do I want to work for anyone...other than the three people I live with. So, I will pretend to be one on my blog.

If I were an architect, I would design something like this.

From the back. I love the arched window.

Or this...a front porch is a must.

How about this one? I love all the square windows.

And I would always have some stonework to help give it character.

All of the images are the work of Crisp Architects. I just stumbled upon them, and began to wonder ....what if? What career do you dream of?

Hydrangeas....Etsy Style

Well, sadly.....depending on where you live...the hydrangeas are starting to fade. It wasn't a stellar summer for hydrangea blooms around my yard. Excessive heat, water restrictions and little energy for dead-heading when it felt like Africa....slowly morphed into the "Next Year" chant.

What they should have looked like....last year.

Well, because I am always obsessing considering changes in some of the rooms in my home (ok, the whole house)...I wanted to check out hydrangea art on Etsy.

This is what I am loving
