Seasonless Summer Sale

Did I tell you that I sold all of my patio furniture? My outdoor furniture was specifically selected to compliment my former home and my buyers wanted to purchase it, too. We have a small porch in our current rental and for the last two weeks we have been struggling to find some make-do outdoor patio furniture.

Although Florida remains somewhat seasonless, or I should say...an endless spring/summer environment, in the retail world the season is coming to an end.

Outdoor Rug Shopping

Wow, I can't believe that it has been one year since I bought this rug. I love having a rug on my front porch, and I would like to find one for my back patio. So, back to on-line shopping for an outdoor rug. What a difference a year makes....the choices have become almost overwhelming....almost.

I found new (to me) site, here. I think I am leaning toward a sisal looking rug like this

Front Porch Finished!

A while back, I was planning on a Front Porch Make-over. Here is one of the "before" shots

I was thinking of white cushions that I spoke about here. Well, truth be told....the white did not work out for me. The first set of cushions I made were too small. Tip, outdoor foam does not react the same as pillow forms (I like to sew my pillows an inch smaller all the way around, so they have that "poooff"). When I went to buy more outdoor fabric, white was gone. So, here is the "after"

A "Happy Accident", they are turquoise.

I also told you about my outdoor rug I bought on-line. If you remember, it arrived like this. So, to get it to lay flat, I did this

put it on a hot driveway, and before long, it looked like this

It's a Gardening Day!

Making color choices from a computer

Look what came today

 

That was fast, and I love it! It does remind me that you can never trust color on the computer. As I have mentioned before, I love on-line shopping, but when it comes to specific color.....it's always a surprise.

Shopping on-line for Outdoor Rugs

I love choices! I don't know about you, but when I am looking for something, I wan to see all the possible choices available. Today, I am looking for an outdoor rug to go on my front porch. Here are the three choices, all from Ballard Designs, that I have narrowed it down to.....

This in gray (maybe a bit dull?)

 or, this (has that "Nantucket" feel)

and finally, this (the blue would compliment my bluestone patio)
