Knobs or Pulls?

Another decision.....

I really like the simplicity of small knobs.

And then there's the function and statement of the pull.

Stacked Cabinets

Do you like stacked kitchen cabinets? It's when the upper cabinets have an additional cabinet above them. Of course it provides extra storage, but it also eliminates the open space that usually has display items.

Or, you can add glass doors for displaying collectables.

I don't like the idea of needing a ladder to reach the stacked uppers. I suppose the pros outweigh the cons for me on this one.

What do you think?

How Would You Fix This?

Ok, designers and home design enthusiasts.....here is a home that I actually toured. Let's face it, this room could be amazing. As we went through the home, I kept thinking about this kitchen that opens to a family/great room. A sledge hammer is definitely necessary....but what else? How would you design this space?

Since I won't be buying this home....money is no object. Go for it!

Let's Go To Hollywood

I know you love to look inside of homes as much as I do. In fact, I am at a disadvantage.... I have shown you my home and I feel like you should be sending me pictures of your home. Is that weird?

I found a really cool home in the Hollywood Hills for us to stalk. I decided to go to the West Coast because unlike us, they are not expecting 72 inches of snow tomorrow. If you are one of the few lucky people to own a salt manufacturing company...Congratulations, this is your year! It looks like you will be getting the new kitchen you have been dreaming of.

Back to the Hills. This home was designed by Ryan White. I found him on Open House NY. My daughter and I think he is so darn cute.

You can find the twisted art here.

Do you have a favorite object? I love the turquoise convex mirror.

Stay warm.

Fabulous or Frivolous Plaid Tile?

Were you in the path of the snowstorm this weekend? My kids measured us at 5+ inches. It was probably 6, but nobody wanted to go outside and check until after some of the melting had begun.

In-between binge watching on the iPad, Holiday baking, and gift wrapping....I found myself falling in love with the plaid mosaic tile floor.

And then I came across this plaid backsplash.... loving this, too.

Of course I immediately decided that this was too impractical for me. I am sure that I would grow tired of it long before it would wear out. What do you think?

Fabulous or frivolous?

Would you....Could you?

I am one big fat (turkey stuffed) chicken when it comes to color. I love each and every room below, and I know I would never have the confidence to do this in my home. I am just too darn practical, and know that I would grow tired of it fast.

So why do they taunt me?

Did you regret it?
