One Room Challenge, Week 5

Here we are at week 5 already. Wow is time flying by. Thanks again for taking the time to check in with me. If I didn't think you were coming by, I probably would procrastinate more. If you would like to start at the beginning of all of this, you can go here

I am super excited to announce that my trimwork is done. It took a huge chunk of time, and I had help with the hard stuff. Here are all of the specs just in case you want to try this.

All of the trim is BM Snowfall White. The walls were inspired by this bedroom. They are BM White Dove.

I could kiss Mary Ann for tracking down the paint name for me. I want my whole house painted this color.

Section 1 & 3 have the framed wall treatment above the chair rail

In Section 2, the walls were too narrow to frame them above the chair rail. I gave them a mock cap on top to finish them off. I also modified the crown in section 2.

Here, you can see that my CL altar table got a makeover. You can also see that I picked the yellow lamps. Although, weather permitting, they will be changing colors.

I think I am finally going to use this vintage brass light fixture that has been sitting in my garage for ages.

The glass is smoked, and there is a lot of it...not quite sure how I can do this without replacing all of it. I'm not even sure it works....they lady said it did, and I never checked.

I picked up this mirror, that has a gash in the upper right corner.
You just can't get good quality for $15 any more.

Hopefully, I can give it a makeover and place it above this CL table

Once I fix the red tinted stain

There is one more week....and then the big Tah Dah!

Now let's go make the rounds.

I am still amazed at how big your dang foyer is....You are in and out of mine before you realize it. I love that table you painted white...and yes...Whit Dove is the perfect white. My whole house is painted that color and it makes it easy to touch up! No guessing! I think you should keep the yellow lamps....especially for the spring and summer....but that is probably asking too much. What is the life span of an accessory in a design bloggers home?

You go Linda, love how the trim work turned out, so rich and inviting! The alter table looks magnificent in the creamy white and having the lamps add the pop of color was a great choice. No doubt those other pieces will be rockin' after they get the "Linda touch!"

You should be able to have new glass cut for not too much money. Just go to a glass store. I know because my husband broke the glass. I love that fixture and would love to have it in my home!
