It's Monday, and I am happy to start the week with the daughter of my friend, Nancy. I didn't want to hit Nancy up for a post, so I asked Bethany. She has more energy than her mom....Nancy would admit it. The duo recently created this room for the One Room Challenge.
Pretty, don't you think? It's actually on Apartment Therapy in the Room for Color Contest. You can click over to see more of the room and vote for it, if you like.
Hi everyone! I'm Bethany Brower, daughter-half of Powell Brower Home. I'm so thankful Linda asked me over to chit chat, because I love everything beachy. Who doesn't, right? I have a longstanding love affair with the shores of our great Northeast, so naturally, Nantucket is right up my alley.
When I think of Nantucket, I think cedar shakes, white slipcovers, Dash & Albert rugs and "As Good as it Gets". But if I had my chance to decorate a beach home for the rich and famous, here's what I'd do.

I wanted to do a not-so literal translation where rich finishes convey the nautical feeling of a ship but with the plush comforts of home. I'd love to cuddle up and chat with friends here.
Back to reality and the increasingly chilly fall weather here in Virginia. But I so enjoyed creating a living room in Nantucket. Hopefully our next design client has a home on the shore! Thanks again for letting me daydream, Linda. <---- Isn't she SO talented?

You rocked it Bethany!!
Love this room B!
Big fan of the blue/apricot combination (especially since it involves Quadrille!).
Gorgeous!! I think the curtains make the room. That fabric is a new one to me but I'm thinking it's a new addiction:)
I'm in,I've with that Dering hall chair! Great mood board as always Bethany!
Great job. I'm loving all of your fantastic inspiration!
I love both Bethany and Nancy, so am popping over to vote now!! Thanks for sharing!

That Ballard Design sofa has been on my list for a while! Just love it!
Love it, Bethany! Great job!
Linda- thank you so much for having me! It's an honor to post on MCHL :) And Wilma thanks you too.
I like the bedroom a lot, especially the headboard fabric. I really want to squish that dog's cheeks and talk to her in an obnoxious voice....
Oh yes! That room would be awesome...who is going to bring it to life :)
That little cute "dog face" makes you want to talk with a squeaky voice!
