Hello Friends. Today I am happy and I am sad. Happy that it is week 6 and I have a reveal for you. Sad, because I had the best time doing the One Room Challenge and will miss it....until next time! If you would like to start at the beginning...you can go here.
I want to thank Jennifer for designing the buttons we have all been using. I also want to thank her for some gorgeous prints. We are in negotiations on the price, and I will be telling you some secrets about her if I don't get a bill soon.
Now, I won't waste space typing...I'll just get to the part you want to see...PICTURES!
A quick review, it started like this
And now it looks like this
Do you recognize the pillow?
It is the one I won from Everything LEB.
Remember this corner?
Now it looks like this
It started with the Ikea hacked built-ins
Uh, my babies when they were babies
close up on hardware
I didn't plan on doing a gallery wall, but after I pulled out all of my vintage paint by numbers...I thought it would look good as a grouping. You know how they say you can use craft paper...tape it to the wall...play with it...It DOESN'T work. You need to put 7 or 8 extra holes in the wall before you get it right....plan on it.
I framed the house portrait that Laura Trevey painted.
Remember this corner?
Now it looks like this
The wall hanging was another Ebay purchase. The other Ikea hack up close
The wide view (thanks Lisa)
And there is my rug on rug
A simple shade for the sconces
My parting view
Thank you for coming back week after week to check on my progress. Your kind words and comments kept me going. The room could use a few more touches, and probably some editing, so be sure to check back from time to time. Now,I am so excited to see how everyone else did...aren't you? Let's go see

Great job lady! Especially love the built-ins and the hardware and how you utilized those awkward corners in the room. Can't believe the challenge is over. What a great ride.
I hope you loved waking up in a completed room this morning! It looks fantastic Linda! I love the grouping of oils and your frames turned out great! The built-ins are my favorite- loving the hardware ( source, please). I can't get over how much work you did, and the final result. I am so proud of you and we LOVE LOVE LOVE these challenges. Thank you dear friend! Now, go out for that birthday celebration! ( who needs a reason?)

It looks like you have accomplished everything, Linda! I am so very impressed at how much you got done - a large space with different areas to focus on individually. And so much detail. Great job. You must be so excited!
Thanks Nancy, this is the hardware I used http://mycraftyhomelife.blogspot.com/2012/06/ebay-other-addictions.html
Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!!! This is amazing! First I am mad for the coral... no shock there. Did you give us the color??? The built ins!!! Damn girl they are way cool. Love the hide over the rug, Ralph Lauren eat your heart out. The chandelier is perfect in white, good choice. Sconce is perfect in black, love that juxtaposition. The art is so well placed on all the walls. Love, love, love what Jennifer did for the bed wallscape. Do either of you ever sleep??? Love the shout out to "Yes a man does sleep here" with the sport books - genius funny! The kids looks adorable!
You certainly are one talented lady with tons of ambition & energy with a large dose of creativity with a topping of chutzpah. Off to see more!
Wowza Linda!! I knew it would be ...and it is great!!! Can I just say it is 5:30 west coast time...I couldn't sleep...like Christmas or something. I'm sick I know. Back to you. I love the gallery installation and I'm glad you did it, and I'm glad I'm not the only one who uses trial and error as a legitimate design method when hanging pieces:) I really think the colours, the mint and coral are just so fresh and current. Your room is beaming and looks amazeballs! The campaign hardware on your hacked built ins rocks and I'm digging all your accessories too. Love the styled bedsie areas!!! I think we will see each other again on the hackers site:) I'm gonna miss you...and all this...take care my friend you killed it!!! Talk soon.
Best IKEA hack I've ever seen! That brain of yours!!! Everything looks wonderful. The colors, the lighting, those mirrors, everything. Can you hear me clapping? I'm clapping.
Holy gorgeous room!! I don't know what to comment on without taking up an entire page. I will say that I want you to come to my house and hack a library for me.
