Oh my, upholstery fabric paint.....ready to go! This is a DIY-ers dream.
I know the perfect application for this.....a painted rug. I have been wanting to paint this rug for quite some time. I love all the custom painted rugs that are currently all over the net. I especially like Lauren's rug.

My daughter has a white rug from IKEA in her hang out room that we bought with the intention of painting. My DIYs never work quite the way I hope, but I'm going to try again! I'll refer back to this when I get ready to tackle it!

I have a 5x7' beige wool flat weave rug that I am dying to paint, but haven't worked up the nerve. Love both examples you have shared and will have to consider making it happen!

This is on my docket! I have a neutral mock oriental I want to OVERDYE!!! Have you ever dyed carpet? Lets all do a link party on dyed/painted rugs!

Fabric paint in a spray can? Be still my heart! :) I must give that a try!
I guess it was only a matter of time before someone came up with spraypaint for fabric!
I don't know if I'd dare do a rug (at least not for my first project...).
