Hi Everyone, and thanks for coming back to Spring Into Action. I have been working on shelving for my basement...along with a dehumidifier. If you are new here, you can start at the beginning of this here.
A quick refresher....this is how my space started
This is how it looks now
I made a few deviations from the original plan. For one, I moved the dehumidifier in between the bookshelves
Remember the awkward cleat problem
I also re-sized all the shelves to fit the boxes....exactly (I became rather obsessed at this point)
I would say that the happy accident was finding out that I had room to fit this Ikea table top in-between the shelves
This project went up until the end for me. On Tuesday, I was painting in the garage until midnight. Late last night I was trying to take pictures for you....and the lighting in the basement is not the most desirable. I actually did not complete everything. I still need to add the molding at the top, and an additional shelf in the middle section.
I am not complaining. If it was not for this deadline, this would not be finished! I was able to organize my fabric so well, that on Monday I will be having a FABRIC GIVEAWAY!! Please come back for that.

I am really impressed with your handiwork, Linda, and also with your fabric. Such a great setup you have here. I am amazed at how much you accomplished - such a great space. Thank you for suggesting this project party!
That is awesome! I love the added tabletop and chair. My fabric is in huge plastic tubs. This kind of organization is like porn to some of us organizing freaks. ;)
Linda, this is fantastic! I love the new work area, and all your organization. It is all right there in one spot, which is enviable! I'm so proud of you girl! now go get a pedicure or something for yourself!

woah, what a before and after! I would die for a space like this in my apartment- all that storage AND work space, so so perfect!!
Linda this is way cooler than what I was originally visualizing! Love how the dehumidifier is hidden beneath the desk (the legs for which happen to be ones I looked at for my office makeover). The details on the shelves are beautiful too and really make them look high-end. I am impressed with your woodworking skills on top of it all. Thanks again for getting us all off our duffs to finish some things, this was a blast!!!!
You did a great job Linda! Thanks for organizing this or I would never have finished my project either. I like the addition of moulding on your shelves. The area is so nicely organized...the perfect spot for completing even MORE projects!
It looks great! Loving the 'happy accident'.

What a great space. I'd love to have the room for a sewing station at my finger tips. You're a luck gal!

Amazing use of space! I'm so jealous!
That's a really nice looking built-in. Nice job!
Dang girl! It was worth all your hard work! It looks so super awesome! It's one of those things- just do it right the first time, ya know? I looove the table in between the shelving. It looks like those pricey built in fixture now, and a perfect space to craft away!

This looks amazing! I love the desk and the shelving. Are you a fabric hoarder? That's a lot of fabric, just sayin'.
It looks amazing! It's so organized and I'm jealous of your fabric stash! I think it was definitely a good idea to put the dehumidifier in between the bookshelves so you had more shelves to use.
Thank you so much for inviting me to participate! My hall tree would still be unpainted if not! Count me in for the next challenge you dream up!
NIce job Linda! Your DIY talent never ceases to impress!
